David Macneil is an entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of “WeatherTech”. He is also the owner of the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and the “WeatherTech Car Collection”.
David was born in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in the suburbs. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he earned a degree in Industrial Design.
After college, He worked for a number of companies in the design field before starting his own business, MacNeil Automotive Products Ltd, in 1989. The company originally focused on custom-fit car floor mats and has since expanded to produce a wide range of automotive accessories.
In 2018, David purchased the “WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca“, a world-renowned motorsports venue in Monterey, California. He also owns the WeatherTech Car Collection, which consists of a variety of classic and modern cars.
David is an avid racing enthusiast and has competed in a number of endurance events, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He currently resides in Chicago’s Western suburbs with his family.
